Q6: How do you register a Marquee player?
A: A Marquee player needs to be registered on PlayHQ first. To add them to the team list, a game permit should be created by the home club. Please note that all Marquee players should be communicated to the DVCA General Manager 24 hours before the game. If the Marquee player is registered within the DVCA, they will need to initiate a season permit, which will allow them to play for your club only in the Summer Smash.

Q: What is the Impact Player Rule, and how does it work?
A: The Impact Player Rule allows teams to name a 12th player on the team sheet who can participate in only one innings (either batting or bowling), as decided before the match. Naming an Impact Player is optional; if no 12th player is listed, the team will have no Impact Player for that match. It is the responsibility of the captain and vice-captain to inform the opposing captain and scorers before the match about the chosen innings for the Impact Player. Teams must ensure at least two U23 players are included in the playing XI for both innings.
Q: What are the eligibility criteria for players to participate in the Summer Smash Finals?
A: To be eligible for the Summer Smash Finals, players, including marquee players and impact players, must be named on the team sheet (in the first 12) for a minimum of 2 matches. If a game is abandoned or forfeited, being named on the team sheet will still count as a game played.
