The DVCA Executives wish to sadly announce the passing of DVCA Life Member Ewen ‘Joe’ Gurney and extend their condolences to his family. Joe, who served as the assistant Secretary of the Competition in the late 1970’s, played a pivotal role in shaping the DVCA’s foundation by designing the original rule book. As a lawyer, Joe’s expertise was invaluable in crafting the terminology and processes within the rule book, establishing a framework that has endured through the Association’s history. His contributions were instrumental, marking him as a key figure in the Association’s development. Vale Ewen ‘Joe’ Gurney, your legacy will always be remembered.
